# Associate reminder SMS to events

The [**SMS reminders that you have created and personalized**](https://www.tucalendi.com/en/s/email-notifications/sms-reminder-setting) can be associated with the events you want in a very simple way.

This way, your customers will receive an **SMS** on the **mobile phone** they provided when booking from your TuCalendi online calendar, to **remind them of the appointment**.

> **IMPORTANT**: The **mobile phone number** of the client who will receive the notifications must be requested in the event [data collection form](https://www.tucalendi.com/en/s/flows/how-to-create-flows-for-forms). Add the **"Mobile phone"** option in the **"Default form elements"**.

> [!CAUTION]
> **IMPORTANT**: As of October 1, 2023, the **"Reminders"** field no longer exists in the event options menu. This customization of the events must be done from the **workflows**.
> **It is necessary** to [create workflows](https://www.tucalendi.com/en/s/flows/adding-sms-reminders-in-a-workflow) to associate the **reminder template** with your customers when they make a booking with you.
