Rescheduling templates must use different date and time substitution tags than the substitution tags used in the confirmation templates.
This is because when a client reschedules an appointment, they can set both a new date and a new booking time. To avoid mixing these up with the original tags used in the confirmation templates, you need to use the following tags in your rescheduling templates:
Substitution tags that refer to the initial booking
In the rescheduling template, you can let customers know the date and time they originally booked.
For this, use the following tags:
- customersolddate: the customer's original date
- customersoldtime: the customer's original time
Substitution tags that refer to the new booking details
To avoid any confusion, your rescheduling template should show the date and time of the booking after it has been rescheduled.
The tags that show the new date and time are:
- customersnewdate: the customer's new date
- customersnewtime: the customer's new time
These substitution tags are only valid for rescheduling templates.
Using these substitution tags in your rescheduling templates ensures that the correct date and time appear in the emails customers receive when they reschedule a booking.
